Routing outbound traffic through a link pool or virtual tunnel
To specify how FortiADC dispatches outgoing traffic, you specify the characteristics of the outbound traffic, apply an optional schedule, and then associate the traffic with the appropriate link group or virtual tunnel.
1. Go to Link Load Balance > Outbound > Link Policy.
2. Complete the following settings:
Name
The name that identifies the link policy in the web UI.
Input Interface
The FortiADC network interface that is the source of the outbound traffic.
Source Address
The source IP address of packets that the specified link group dispatches. See “Defining an IP address configuration to use with a link policy”.
Destination Address
The destination IP address of packets that the specified link group dispatches. See “Defining an IP address configuration to use with a link policy”.
Service
The protocol or protocol and port of packets that the specified link group dispatches. See “Defining a protocol configuration to use with a link policy”.
Schedule
The group of schedules that specifies when the link policy is applied. The link policy is active when the current time falls in a time period specified by one or more schedules in the schedule group. See “Defining schedules to use with a link policy”.
Group Type
Link Group — Policy applies to a link group.
Virtual Tunnel — Policy applies to a virtual tunnel.
Link Group
If Link Group is selected, the pool of ISP links that dispatch the outgoing traffic specified by this policy rule. See “Routing outbound traffic through a link pool or virtual tunnel”.
Virtual Tunnel
If Virtual Tunnel is selected, the virtual tunnel configuration that dispatches outgoing traffic specified by this policy rule. See “Defining a virtual tunnel”.
