Creating event attributes

This section provides the procedure to create event attributes.

Adding an event attributes

Follow the procedure below to add an event attribute:

  1. Log in to your Supervisor node as a Super/Global user.
  2. Go to ADMIN > Device Support> Event Attribute tab.
  3. Click New
  4. In the Event Attribute Definition dialog box, enter the information below.

    SettingsGuidelines
    Name*Event attribute name
    Display Name*Display name of the event attribute
    Value TypeDevice or application mode
    Display Format TypeUnits in which the event attribute has to be displayed
    DescriptionDescription of the event attribute
    Note: Settings marked with * are mandatory.
  5. Click Save.
    The new event attribute appears in the list
  6. Select the event attribute(s) from the list and click Apply.

Modifying a device/application

Follow the procedure below to modify an event attribute setting:

  1. Go to ADMIN > Device Support> Event Attribute tab.
  2. Select one or more event attribute(s) to edit from the list.
  3. Select the required action from the following table.



    OptionDescription
    EditAllows to modify the settings of a selected event attribute(s).
    DeleteDeletes the selected event attribute(s).
    CloneDuplicates the selected event attribute(s).
  4. Click Save.
