Creating Business Services

Follow the procedure below to create a Business Service.

1. Go to CMDB and select service under Business Service from the left tree.
2. Click New. 
3. In the New Business Service dialog box, enter the information below.
   
   

   Settings	Guidelines
   Name	Name of the Business Service group
   Description	Description about the Business Service group.
   Filter	Click this field to add the Filter.
   Items	Items to add under the Business Service group.
   Selections	Select the devices/applications: - Devices: device and adjacent L2/L3 network devices - Applications: application, instance running on and adjacent L2/L3 network devices.

4. Click Save Only to save or Apply & Save to proceed with adding the service.

You can use the links in the Drilldown menu of the Business Services summary dashboard to find out more information about incidents, device availability, device and application performance, interface and event status, and real-time and historical search for a selected business service.
