Setting up a Remote AP
In this video, you're going to learn how to use a Remote AP to provide secure remote access to protected networks and the internet.
With the proper FortiGate configuration, a Wireless Access Point can be deployed remotely at home or anywhere outside your network. The Remote AP will forward the user's internet traffic through the FortiGate to be authenticated, and will allow them remote access to internal network addresses, without compromising the overall security of the network.
FortiGate and FortiAP
In this video, you're going to learn how to set up a FortiGate and FortiAP to provide wired and wireless internet access.
A FortiAP can add a wireless network to any FortiGate unit, but by properly configuring your FortiGate, you can assign both wired and wireless clients to the same IP subnet, sharing network resources, simplifying the FortiGate configuration, and making it easy to identify computers and devices.
