Installation considerations
Device profiles should be applied to the device (database) during the install operation. There are three types of installations:
• Device Settings only - the device profile should be applied first.
• Policy Packages and Device Settings - the device profile make be applied after the policy package is copied.
• Interface Policy only - the device profile should be applied in the same way as other global settings are handled, depending on whether or not VDOMs are enabled.
During the install wizard, you will be prompted to choose which devices to install. After selecting device settings only, you will be presented with a list of devices which is pre-filtered based on whether or not the device database is modified.
