Creating IP address objects
You create address objects to specify matching source and destination addresses in policies.
The following policies use the “Firewall” address objects:
Firewall policies
QoS policies
Connection limit policies
The following policies use the “Link Load Balancing” address objects:
Link load balancing policies
Basic Steps
1. Create address objects.
2. Select them when you configure your policies.
Before you begin:
You must have Read-Write permission for System settings.
To create an address object:
1. Go to System > Shared Resources > Address.
2. Click [Firewall Address IPv4 | Firewall Address IPv6 | Link Load Balance Address IPv4 | Link Load Balance Address IPv6].
3. Click Add to display the configuration editor.
4. Complete the configuration as described in Table 42.
5. Save the configuration.

Name
Unique name. No spaces or special characters.
After you initially save the configuration, you cannot edit the name.

Specify a subnet using the address/mask notation.
Address Range
Specify the start and end of an address range.
