Entering Names for FortiADC Objects

FortiADC identifies administrative objects, such as clusters and servers, by name. The characters used in names are limited to standard ASCII letters ("A" through "Z" and "a" through "z"), numbers (0 through 9), and the characters "." (period), "-" (dash) and "_" (underscore), (*) asterisk, (@) "at" sign, and (/) backslash.

The first character in a name must be a letter.
Names can be at most 65 characters long.
The readability of lists presented in the interface is increased by using short names that use as many unique characters at the beginning of the name as possible.
